About Me

My passion for birth work was born with my first child in 2014, when I experienced an empowered and transformative birth that changed my life forever. That experience lit a fire in me — I knew then that I was called to walk with women through the sacred journey of birth. I became a certified childbirth educator through the Bradley Method and began teaching classes to families in my community. Supporting women and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum felt like home.

In 2015, I welcomed my second child at a birth center with a midwife — another beautiful, redemptive experience. Yet, as a growing young family in the fast-paced DC metro area, I made the hard decision to pause my doula and midwifery path and returned to full-time work in 2016. Still, the calling never left me. I continued to offer childbirth education and lactation guidance informally, holding space for friends and family as they became parents.

In 2018, one of the couples I had taught invited me to be their doula. Though I wasn’t formally certified at the time, I supported them virtually during a precipitous labor. I guided her partner over FaceTime, helping him stay calm and grounded so he could fully show up for her. It was powerful — and confirmed for me that this is sacred work I was born to do.

I was also pregnant with my third child at the time, planning a home birth — but ended up needing an emergency cesarean. While it wasn’t the journey I had envisioned, it was filled with grace and growth. I leaned into the experience, grateful for the gift of modern medicine, and emerged stronger and even more passionate about walking with other mothers through the unexpected.

In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, I was pregnant again — and so were the same clients. This time, we both planned home births. I prepared for a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), and they invited me back as their doula. I had the most peaceful, healing home birth — and just days later, they had a beautiful water birth at home, too. That season solidified my commitment to this calling.

At the end of 2023, I said yes to what had been on my heart for a decade — I left my corporate career to follow my soul’s work and fully step into my mission.

Through PachaMama, I offer holistic, faith-rooted support that honors your physical, emotional, and spiritual journey into motherhood.
